Laura Thornton
Director of Marketing, Global Connected Services (GCS)

Laura Thornton was appointed Director of Marketing, Global Connected Services (GCS) in February of 2020. In this role, Laura's focus is on delivering growth in GM's subscription franchise through the OnStar and Connected Services product lines. Under her leadership, her team develops and delivers cross-journey marketing strategies aimed at innovation in brand, 1:1 and digital marketing experiences.

She has supported the GCS subscription business in various roles, leveraging her passion for marketing innovation to contribute towards a significant turnaround in business performance, customer engagement, and 1:1 technology enhancements.

Before joining GM, Laura grew her career at Campbell Ewald Advertising, serving in strategic account leadership roles. She began her love for the automotive industry early on while supporting the Chevrolet and Dodge brands. Her Bachelor's degree is from the University of Michigan in Sociology and Political Science.
