Come be a Part of Adcraft Bowling’s 101st Season!

Following a historic 100th anniversary season garnering national attention as the oldest continuously established bowling league here in the official Bowling Capital of the World, we are now ramping up for our 101st season at Hartfield Lanes in Berkley.
Although space is limited, we can accommodate up to two more teams. Individual men and women who want to join an existing team (we have a couple of teams that could really use a bowler or two) are also welcomed. First come, first served!
Here are the fast facts:
We bowl on Tuesday nights, starting on September 9th and ending in April. Lanes are turned on for warm-ups at 6:45 p.m., and we start bowling for score at 7:00 p.m.
Each team can have up to eight players on their roster, but only four bowl on any given week. This allows you to easily alternate bowlers and lessen the commitment for those who don't want to bowl every week.
The weekly bowling cost is $20 (which includes the prize fund…you’ll get some money back at the end of the season), and there’s a one-time per season national sanction fee of $30 paid on the first night you bowl.
Something important to remember is that Adcraft Bowling is a handicap league…each team receives bonus pins at the beginning of the night based upon the collective averages of its four people bowling that night. So, lower average teams receive more pins than higher average teams, which makes every night competitive no matter how “good or bad” your or your team is. Your team wins games simply by bowling more over your average than the other team. For example, let’s say your average is 100 and mine is 200. If you bowl a 120 game, and I bowl a 205 game, you’ve done much better than me.
If you are interested in bowling individually or bringing in a team, the deadline to sign up is August 18th. We hold our annual league meeting on August 26th and we need to have things pretty much settled by the meeting. Email me with your questions or interest at paulg@GrossWeather.com.
